The My Dashboard tool has received significant upgrades! This tool allows you to create highly customizable dashboards that update in real-time as unit parameters change. You can find more details on how this works in our other blog post here.
Previously, My Dashboard displayed units as cards organized into sections. Now, you can also view these units' locations on a map.
You can switch to Map View by clicking the "View on Map" button on any section heading, or by toggling the switch at the top of the page shown below.
Once in the map view you will be presented with one of your dashboard sections depending on which button you clicked above. To the left of the screen, you will see the unit cards that you are familiar with from the original My Dashboard view, and a map to the right. The map will show a marker for each unit that is in the selected section.
The My Dashboard section you are looking at can be changed via the control at the top of the page shown here
You can scan through the different sections by clicking on the left and right arrow buttons next to the section name. You can also navigate directly to a section by choosing the section from the drop-down list in the middle of the arrows.
The cards on the left side of the page function similarly to the ones in the original view. Most critical alerts will be sorted to the top of the list with the alert level indicated by the color on the left. You can view more in-depth data by hovering over the card as well as navigate to the unit's page by clicking the link button next to the unit's name. Clicking a unit card anywhere besides the link button will “focus” the unit on the map, which will isolate the marker and pan the map to make it visible allowing you to quickly locate the unit.
Similar to hovering over a unit card, clicking on a map marker will display more detailed information about the selected unit. The map also contains buttons to turn off the marker clustering and to reset the map view to show all markers.
The dashboard creation and sharing process will remain unchanged with this update.
