New Feature: Unit Files

September 22, 2026

You now have the ability to attach files directly to your units! Installation guides, maintenance checklists, site photos, wiring diagrams and warranty paperwork can all be stored on the unit they belong to.

Most of the time you will be working with files from the view unit page, attaching them via drag and drop or via your device's system interface, much like attaching files to an email. There is also a new File Management page that gives you a single table of every file you have uploaded, which is handy for bulk actions such as deleting and keeping an eye on your storage.

Unit Files

A new button has been added to the top Notes card on the view unit page. The number on the button tells you how many files are currently attached to that unit.

Clicking the files button will open the Files modal. Here you will find a list of every file attached to the unit along with controls to search and filter them.

Each file in the list shows:

  • File type
  • File name
  • File size
  • Uploader
  • Upload Date/Time

Each file also has buttons to download or delete that file.

If a note was added it will show a small blue icon next to the file name, that will show you the note upon hovering.

Controls at the top of the files allow you to sort and filter in many ways including.

  • Search - matches against the file: name, type, or uploader
  • Type - filters the list down to a single file type.
  • Time - limits the list to files uploaded in the last 7, 30 or 90 days
  • Sort - orders the list by date, size or file name

Adding Files

Clicking the "Add files" button will open the “Upload Files” modal. You can drag files onto the dropzone or click it to browse, and you can select more than one file at a time.

Anything you select will be listed underneath the dropzone before it gets sent, allowing you to remove a file if you picked the wrong one. You also have the option to add a note which will be attached to every file in that upload. This is the note that shows up as the blue icon in the file list.

Files & Storage

The Files & Storage page can be found via the support page link. This page is built for managing files across your account rather than working with a single unit.

The table lists the unit the file belongs to, the file type, name, uploader, size and upload date. Every column can be sorted and filtered using the controls in the column headers, and the unit name is a link that will take you to that unit's page.

Each row has buttons to download the file, copy a link to it, and delete it. You can also use the checkboxes on the left to select several files at once and remove them together with the "Delete Selected" button. This is the quickest way to clear out a batch of old files.

At the top of the page you will find four storage meters showing how much you have uploaded against your allowance. These will fill and change color as you get closer to a limit.
